Happy Wednesday

Well, its been a few days since my last post, but I have a good reason. Justin and I went back to Arkansas for Christmas and spent time with our families. Of course when we got back to Texas though....we BOTH got sick. So its been a rough week so far. I dont handle colds are anything of that nature very well. Hopefully this too will pass though. Happy Wednesday everyone!

To my wonderful Sister-I love you!

Merry Christmas!

"Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can describe yourself  PEACE of mind. Look at the sunny side of everything and make your OPTIMISM come true. Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the BEST. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the FUTURE. Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. Live in the FAITH that the whole world is on your side so long as you are TRUE to the best that is in YOU."

Quote of the Day

"If I had to select on quality, one personal characteristic that I regard as being most highly correlated with success, whatever the field, I would pick the trait of persistence. Determination. The will to endure to the end, to get knocked down seventy times and get up off the floor saying, "Here comes number seventy-one!"

Confidence Quote =)

"Once you define a new direction, you must have the confidence to begin. Too many hopeful dreams never happen because of fear or lack of confidence. Dont worry about it looks. Focus instead on what interests you and on being the person you are or wish to become."

Quote of the Day ( Night ) =)

"Desire is the key to motivation, but its determination and commitment to an unrelenting pusuit of your goal- a commitment to excellence- that will enable you to attain the success you seek."

Silly Saturday

As I have told many of you...this blog is a work in progress just as much as im a work in progress! I also had said that there would be alot more to come this weekend and so far so good. Go me! One of the things I had though about doing on this blog, aside from it being mainly about my photography journey, was too include quotes. The first "blog" I ever created was just composed of quotes. Its a hobby of mine, collecting quotes. So, I think I have decided to have a quote of the day! Now, im fully aware that knowing me I may not get to it EVERY day, but I will definately be making an effort to do this daily even if I cant post anything else at the time. Wish me luck and I hope everyone continues checking the blog and seeing the updates! Many more to come!

At my best!

San Antonio

These two pictures were taken in San Antonio, Texas at the river walk. This is definatley a favorite location of mine in Texas! The photo opportunites are endless and so much fun! Now, granted I did have a camera with me on this trip, it wasnt the greatest. So, I wasnt able to get as many pictures as I would have liked. A big thanks to Jase again though for being such a wonderful participant in all of my spontaneous, picture-taking, road trips! He showed me alot of Austin and surrounding area's where I got amazing shots!

 Interesting history to this hotel!

Texas Themed

Jason Barrigan, what a wonderful friend! Thanks to him I got these cool pic's. We talked about these few for awhile becuase to us, they looked like something in a movie. For example; The picture with the stairs... To us it looked like something off of a scary movie! We really did have fun with these and took wayyy too many pictures! The location, btw, was in Austin, Texas. Great city and lots of sightseeing!

Every Dog Has Its Day

Do you ever just want to say "WOW, its been a day!" ?? Gosh, I know I do! I have lots and lots of time to stop and think about what direction my life and my day-to-do actions are leading me too. Interesting thoughts come about in these times! Looking forward to what 2010 has to offer. Hope everyone else is just as much!

The picture above is of "Bear." We had taken him to the river to play and, boy, did he have a day!

Finally Focused

I'm new to the whole blogging thing even though I do follow quite a few of the blogs. So now that I have a good reason for blogging I figured I could really give it a shot and see where it goes!
I went with a friend who was wanting to "see what I had" to take these photo's. I wont be putting all of them on here, but I will put most of my favorites. It was definitely a fun day and a long one at that. Well worth it in the end though! I believe the final count was near 250 shots. That definitely got narrowed down though. After everything and going through them countless times we decided on about 70 photo. For that being my first real shot at even "seeing what I had" I was pretty excited. Hopefully I have a chance to go back out there again some day and throw some more people in those photos!
I cant take all the credit though. Without Jim showing me this area and everything on the land I would have never got these pictures and they are defiantly the number one "album" for me so far! Thanks Jim!
